GDPR provides new legal protection for personal information from May 2018. I, Aneet Alang, Health Coach/Clinical Hypnotherapist trading as Wellness By Aneet explain how I use and collect your personal data below.

How I store your personal information
Your information is securely stored on my personal laptop and backed up on my iCloud. These are both password protected.
For adults information will be kept for a period of seven years from the date of the last treatment. For children’s records information will be kept until the child is 25 or if 17 when treated, then 26).
I will then dispose of your information by deleting your data from the laptop and iCloud. Correspondence in the form of emails will also be deleted at the same time. (Please note no internet electronic storage is 100% secure and I cannot guarantee its complete security and make no warranties to the level of security for your data).
Disclosure of your personal information
Your personal data will not be provided to a third party without permission unless required for insurance purposes and legal requirements.
Your data protection rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including: your right of access, your right to rectification, your right to erasure, your right to restriction of processing, your right to object to processing and your right to data portability. You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, I have one month to respond to you.

Therapists Rights
I am required to keep your information for the amount of time specified above under How I store your information. This means that if you request to delete any information, I may still have to keep your records for the specified amount of time.
If you do not agree for me to retain your information and the notes I take during treatment, or you do not allow me to use the information to carry out the treatments, this could mean that I may not be able to provide treatment.
I can move your information from one device to another device as long as this is done in a confidential way.
